Presented by Mel Moncrieff

Mel Moncrieff is a retired Nursing Educator and avid nature photographer. He credits his learning of photography partly to attending Redlands Camera Club meetings many years ago, having learned from Frank Peele and several others many of you would know from the 90’s in particular. At the beginning, Mel started shooting landscapes, National Parks in particular, and then moved on to underwater photography. During Covid, he began to focus on bird and wildlife photography.

Mel has photographed wildlife in Africa, Central America, Asia, many places around the world. His favorite place for birding locally, however, is the San Jacinto Wildlife Area. He is also known to frequent Yucaipa, Prado, and Irvine Regional Parks. He lives in Running Springs, where he shoots many birds which come to his feeders.
