Join the Redlands Camera Club for a hands-on field trip and photo walk at Little Corona Beach. Bruce Herwig will be sharing tips and tricks on capturing quality landscape images at the beach, including composition, exposure, and how to work with the changing light at sunset. He will also be providing hands-on assistance with gear and other technical issues.
We’ll meet @ 5:45 pm at the corner of Ocean Blvd and Poppy Avenue in Corona del Mar. Sunset is @ 7:30 pm. We’ll plan to shoot until about 8:00 pm.
Dinner first (optional): For those interested, we will meet for dinner at Ruby’s Diner, 2305 E. Coast Hwy, @ 4:15 pm, which should give us plenty of time to have things wrapped up and moved to our location. Street parking along Ocean Blvd fills fast. Give yourself extra time.
Sturdy footwear is strongly recommended. The terrain here is often very slippery and unsteady.
Recommended equipment:
- Wide-angle lens (16-35 or similar)
- Standard lens (24-70 or similar)
- ND filters (a plus, but not required)
- Sturdy tripod
- Remote shutter release
- Headlamp or small flashlight for the walk back up
