REDLANDS CAMERA CLUB

In person & Zoom Meeting – Bruce Herwig

Join us as we embark on a journey beyond the backyard sparkler, delving into the art of photographing fireworks – those vibrant bursts of light and sound that illuminate our celebrations. Forget auto settings and blurry snapshots; we’ll unlock the secrets to crafting images that resonate with precision, artistry, and a touch of patriotic flair. Whether you’re a seasoned shutterbug or a curious beginner, prepare to be ignited by the possibilities that lay before us. Together we will take a deep dive into this challenging genre of photography.

What shutter speed do you use? Where and how do you focus in the dark? And what equipment do you need? Bruce will be answering these questions and more, including:

  • The importance of location scouting.
  • Specific camera settings and helpful gear
  • Postprocessing tips and examples

Do you have a firework photo or two that you’re proud off? Send it to bruceherwig@gmail.com and we can “ooh and ahh” together as we shot it on the big screen.

Zoom meeting opens at 6:30 pm for a social time before the presentation. Visitors are always welcome.
