Birch Aquarium at Scripps is the public exploration center for Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. Perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, It features the groundbreaking work of Scripps Oceanography and UC San Diego scientists, as well as conservation breeding programs and interactive exhibits. Visitors can photograph a diverse collection of fish, mollusks, jellyfish, penguins, sharks, and more!

Gather 11:30 am for lunch at the Splash Cafe: Birch Aquarium  2300 Expedition Way, La Jolla, CA 92037

Photograph and explore from 12:30-3:30 pm. After that, you are on your own. 

For those interested in carpooling, meet 9:15 am at the Coco’s Bakery Restaurant: 1140 W Colton Ave, Redlands, CA 92374. Traffic can be busy to San Diego and we have to expect some delays.
