The Ocean Institute’s Maritime Festival in Dayna Point celebrates California’s rich maritime history and our connection to the ocean. This is a fun filled event with visiting Tall Ships, Cannon Battles, Beer Gardens, Mermaids Swim Show, Pirate School, Live Music, Reenactors and Sailor Camp, Vendors, Food Trucks and more. There is plenty to photograph for free and there are paid experiences as well.
There is NO on-site festival parking. Park at MARCO FORSTER MIDDLE SCHOOL 25601 Camino Del Avion, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675. A park-and-shuttle option will be provided to and from the Festival and shuttle hub. Click Here for details.
We with gather at 10:45 am at the Dana Point Mini Pier, then head out to explore and photograph the sites. For lunch there will be food trucks. Afterwards, we can stick together as we wander or you can continue on your own.
