Saturday, June 15 @ 6:30 pm
Have you ever wanted to capture the apparent motion of the heavens via star trail images? Escape the summer heat and head to Big Bear for some cool mountain air. Meet for dinner at Big Bear Mountain Brewery at 6:30 pm before heading over to Boulder Bay, where we’ll set up for the evening. We’ll shoot till around 10:30 pm, then head on home.
What to bring
- Camera with freshly charged batteries.
- Tripod
- A wide-angle lens. Anything 50mm or under will work. 15-30mm if you have it.
- Intervalometer – Some newer cameras have one built-in. Otherwise, you’ll need an external one (about $25 on Amazon). Make sure you buy one that fits your camera and try it at home first. If you have any questions, bring your instruction manual.
